Brendan Harshberger, of our phenomenal Drug Checking Los Angeles team, testified yesterday at the CA Senate in support of AB-2136, a bill that would more fully legalize drug checking in California. It passed to the judiciary!

My bill, AB 2136, passed the Assembly's Public Safety Committee on a unanimous vote.
Knowing if a drug or medication is tainted or mislabeled is paramount in avoiding an overdose & death.
AB 2136 has the potential to save lives. Read more here: https://t.co/kwc6CrErjJ @latimes
Yesterday was great day to be in Sacramento -- after committee, got to hang out w/ friends and collaborators in town for the harm reduction and sex worker rights rallies at the Capitol.
Testified in Public Safety Committee yesterday in support of AB-2136. It passed to appropriations.
The bill would protect both providers and participants in drug checking. Important step for scaling up drug checking as a harm reduction and public health strategy.
My (one year old) kid's daycare has an app to communicate school news w/ parents. Great! But it's clear they also use it for marketing, so I'm getting very persistent emails recommending tutoring to boost my child's grades. ๐คฃ๐
