Val Kilmer -- star of Batman Forever, The Doors, and Tombstone -- has died at age 65, The New York Times reports and Variety has confirmed.

The actor had battled cancer for years -- losing his ability to speak due to throat cancer -- but his cause of death was reportedly pneumonia, according to his daughter Mercedes Kilmer.

I'm more amazed my brain even made a connection without knowing there was one? I need to go down the rabbit hole on this one. Godzilla fascinates & slightly terrifying. The details and tone/atmosphere was somewhat specific but....who would even fight it? Hulks, Fantastic 4...?

@ImZak06 @fasc1nate British humor and comedies are very good as well. I think BBCAmerica came around 1993, I was born 91 but still grew up getting doses of Blackadder, love Rowan Atkinson...caught a bit of The Young Ones, of course Monty Puthon, etc. I'll have to look some of those others you said
