Cheltenham Police are on scene at Elkins Park Square, 8080 Old York Rd. A person at that location was armed and had barricaded themselves in a restroom. The person appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and in crisis. Police successfully de-escalated the situation (1/2)

The driver of the golf cart sustained minor injuries. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death upon completion of an autopsy. The identity of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
