@the_cheltenham Inothewayurthinkin 50/1 Grand National. Rated 165, they could get him down to 160, which is what he would’ve run off in 2025 (when fav) before switching. National fences might help his jumping & he showed there’s still something there in this year’s gold cup coming 3rd
@BeyondTheWings2 If TNL is to be their stayers horse, he won’t be running over 2m. Don’t disagree he couldn’t fill in, but it’s unlikely to happen.
He’s defo a chaser in the future, but at 5, they can spend another year over hurdles. We’ll find out soon enough!
Looks like all options are on the table for King Rasko Grey, but I couldn’t have him at any of the shorter trips at the festival, whether it’s the Champ Hurdle or Arkle
👑 KING RASKO GREY was probably over the top by Punchestown but still pulled out enough to back up his Cheltenham Festival success.
👍 He's a real interesting one - already a 6-yo and looks like a chaser but might be stuck a little bit trip-wise.
@mc_18246@RoadCheltenham He said that before the Supreme then went back on it after the race. Makes sense to keep him over hurdles as he’s only 5 so could improve further and he can still go chasing year after. Plus they’ve got Kabral Du Mathan likely going chasing
@Rupey95 I see it as they had to hold onto him at Cheltenham because of the trip, & Joe said he was all speed after Aintree. I don’t follow PTP/hunter chases closely, but the National is won by classy horses now. That’s some step up. Better bets at similar prices imo
@GingerJoeRacing Starting to get some big purchases and owners come his way. He’ll always land those nice handicaps, but won’t be long before he lands those championship races at Cheltenham consistently
