@SpringbankCG Thank you to Faith and Caroline for Zooming in last night and giving a truly inspiring overview of the work you are doing. Cheltenham Soroptimist International.
Brilliant day with @Glosyoungcarers at Colesbourne Park. Cheltenham SI Members Patricia, Deborah and Catriona went to take homemade cake and to join the team running the tea room. Apparently, 969 people visiting in one day is pretty exceptional - it certainly kept us busy!!
Cheltenham Club presented gift boxes for the women being supported by the Nelson Trust Women's Centre in Gloucester. We provide 50 well filled boxes and our feed back has been so positive and heart warming! Kate from Nelson Trust joined us for the club meeting to collect them.
Congratulations to @glosrasac on a superb result at the Annual Dinner and Auction tonight. Not only a good dinner in great company; an inspirational speech from Elizabeth: an auction with Nicolas Grainger of Bespoke British Auctions and a raffle but they have raised £8.5K!!
Cheltenham Club were at the Bishops Cleeve annual Street Fair on Sunday - and the weather was brilliant! Lots of lovely people and we had a great time selling our preserves, cakes and hand made craft goods.
@marketingjd@Glosyoungcarers @FreshArtFair Lovely to see you there, @marketingjd - great evening and I had a lovely time but was so busy talking I don't think I saw half the works on show!
Save the Children Fund charity are 100 years old in May - so we held a coffee and cake morning to raise £100 - then collected over £200!! We are very happy to be able to mark this great landmark date of a charity that does so much for the young - and we enjoyed the coffee!
We held our 63rd AGM yesterday. Reviewing the year's activities really brought it home that our clubs DO make a difference! We have started the plans for this year and - even better - we welcomed two new members. Now to work!
We have been busy working in partnership with @CheltenhamBC and @GlosPolDistrict to create some awareness raising materials. We will be out in the community distrubuting these together over the coming days.
On #IWD2019#InternationalWomensDay I’d like to thank my mum for helping me grow to be the person I am today. She’s a strong lady who I love and admire. Thanks mum.
I do not remember ever seeing or hearing so much positive "noise" on International Women's Day - great stuff!!

Celebrating the work of the Cheltenham Soroptimists this International Women's Day! Always a great supporter of local groups and charities.
Fairtrade Fortnight marked with a Bring and Share Supper. Club members used products bearing a Fairtrade logo (wherever possible - it isn't always easy!) to make delicious contributions to the supper. We will admit that Wine, coffee, chocolate and bananas were heavily involved!
Thanks to all who supported the Forum on Domestic Abuse - Who Cares?
We were delighted with the positive messages we received and you can rest assured that we will be continuing the work in Gloucestershire to raise awareness and support for victims.
Cheltenham Soroptimists invite you to the public forum on Domestic Abuse - who cares? Come and join us to find out what support victims of abuse in all it's forms can get.
The team were out supporting the IWD event held in Cheltenham at the Pittville Pump Room - lovely to see the enthusiasm and interest - congratulations to the organising committee
