The Cheney Cardinal Softball team (3A) is off to a great start. The 2021 3A champs missed state last year, they are 6-0 this year outscoring opponents 90-9. Pitcher Peyton McCormick has three shutouts on the year, the offense is led by Seniors Elina Bartlett and Anna Martin. On Thursday’s double header Martin had four hits, two home runs and five RBI. Bartlett added six hits, two home runs and seven RBI. #sportsinkansas
