Senator Paul, with respect; an audit would merely document what is already evident.. the Federal Reserve operates as a quasi-private consortium that privatizes gains and socializes losses. Period.. This is the exact same kabuki the Fed and Treasury AND both sides of the aisle engages in. You wanna be different? Then don’t ask for the ledger, ask why the ledger exists. That’s the difference between a reformer and a custodian. Which do you REALLY want to be?
As a mortgage and real estate entrepreneur I’ll tell you I’ve never seen a drop in mortgage applications like this in my life. And it’s not just the raw numbers it’s the quantifiable pain in the credit profiles. It’s the 3 dozen people that had no issue getting a purchase loan and can’t even refinance their own property now not just due to rate but more due to their insurance tripling or quadrupling in short order. It’s horrific to be in a business seeing people stuck.. can’t sell, can’t refinance and racking ip consumer debt with little to no wage increase to offset, just hoping things get a little better better for them. Making the choice between telling people honestly what the next 4-5 innings of this hardball game is likely to look like and making a living is a special kind of hell amigo.
Be careful there Rand. Financial responsibility like this might starve the Fed of the limitless Treasury paper it needs to stay relevant, force food and drug companies to survive on actual margins instead of Medicare/Medicaid float, reprice every company in the S&P whose business model hinge on government buying forever, and make the country choose between making things again and staying the world’s reserve currency. Yeah I’ll sit here with my popcorn, Bitcoin, and gold until the pigs start floating. Maybe they’re chilling on those UAPs the government suddenly wants us to believe in.
Every family has to balance a checkbook. Washington should too. The deficit has passed $40 trillion, and both parties keep adding to it.
My Six Penny Plan balances the budget in five years by cutting six cents from every dollar the federal government spends.
First Seagal is the product of the commercialized mini mall belt test karate era doesn’t belong in the conversation honestly, just an action hero for the karate kid and ninja turtle generation no offense I am one same goes for Stallone. One clarification are we talking 1v1 or just sheer fighting ability, because those are very different things.. sheer discipline, athleticism and ability goes to Bruce all day. Not even close and mayweather deserves an HM too. In an Alley give me a whole bost of people not mentioned here. But 1V1 in their primes, with rules, never before has there been a scarier fighter than Tyson. Never before has there been a higher IQ fighter than Ali. Comes down to those two I think.
Tyson’s best path is an early explosion, using his head movement and explosive hand speed to slip Ali’s jab, close the gap the way he did against taller men like Biggs, Holmes, and Spinks, and land the kind of two-handed power that could end it before Ali settles in. Ali never saw anything speed to power like Tyson and he struggled with hugely powerful opponents who could fight through the jab and catch him early. Ali’s advantages are height and reach edge, superior footwork and lateral movement, a controlling jab, and the ring IQ to make Tyson pay for overcommitting while staying out of pure kill range. Tyson is the more dangerous fighter in the first three or four rounds; if he doesn’t land cleanly and decisively early, Ali’s length, movement, and ability to dictate distance become the more reliable factors, and he would likely pull ahead on points or force a late stoppage as Tyson’s pressure becomes less effective. KO likely goes to Tyson decision to Ali.
PS. If this fight actually ever happened Chuck Norris would KO them both telekenetically from his seat in the first row.
Game planning how future me will explain to my daughter how mommy being a chiefs fan and daddy being a cowboys fan might explain why daddy has to check his blood pressure every morning and yells at strangers for driving in the fast lane while mommy can calmly take a nap while her 11th iPhone alarm of the day echoes 18 inches from her cranium for a half hour.
Whoa.. This thread collectively made some viable points.. with zero chill.
If an asset can be borrowed against, someone will borrow against it. That is not a bitcoin design flaw and it’s certainly not a policy decision. It’s what markets do to anything scarce enough to post as collateral. Only part that matters is whether you can pull the actual coins faster than the claims can pile up.. Gold could not. Moving and auditing metal is historically an absolute beating right? so claims piled up and the metal stayed put.
I’m not anti credit on bitcoin. I’m anti the gold outcome is automatic. Faster withdrawal and shorter audit loop either matter or they don’t. I am also not dumb enough to pretend I’m Nostradamus.
We agree there it seems.. But seriously bro and I mean this.. @LukeGromen is a bold ass target for this fight. Of the macro voices in our space, and he lives in our space (which in itself should matter), he is one of the last I would pick a public fight with.. I’ll leave that part there but I will expand on this; Listen to any of Groman’s content.. it’s apparent to me that he wants what a lot of bitcoiners want.. neutral reserve money, a way past fiscal dominance, something that can function as global settlement. Sure seems to me the skepticism is narrow and mostly about timing and structure. Surely if we care about the viability of our asset and our “future money” it is a conversation worth having with him, not a reason to shit in his Cheerios. And lastly and the one that annoys the piss out of me on a personal level.. it would best serve the Bitcoin community to drop the same “wear my jersey or be damned” bullshit that helped launched the asset in the first place. JS.
@LawrenceLepard Watching the dude who has repeatedly and rightly called people stupid for their macro views gush over his puppy is 100% my favorite thing on the internet right now.
Yes. Although I was referring to people fleeing California. Before you say “what about Trump” I hold the president accountable equally to exactly this same bullshit. Neither party gives a shit about us. I just happened to be calling out this particular piece of shit and you were witness to it,
lol. Every response is a comparison to trump. I didn’t even mention trump, it says a lot. What if I told you I agree Trump also doesn’t have your best interest at heart. It’s interesting that any negative comment about a Democrat frames a person as right leaning, and vice versa. Sit with that, and then ask yourself why? Why your response to a real issue is to immediately scream the other side doesnt either. Is that the best we can do? Rather than expect better of our leaders, we just tout a jersey color? Bottom line is this. We currently have 40T in debt. That has been overseen and intentionally not solved by every administration for our lifetimes or more. The solutions are simple, they wont be embraced because it requires power going back to you and me. It’s that simple. My message whether Trump, or any other politician is purely fact. Newsom has destroyed a state, and makes no effort to solve. Just like most every other governor, bush 1, bush 2, obama, and yes Trump. So maybe instead of attacking anything that you think might be red. Attack both sides of the aisle that are collevtivly responsible for the absolute collapse weve been living in for decades.
