A 5 year struggle worth while.
WE BLOODY DID IT 🎉
Thank you to everyone who participated. The @ChangeAus petition & @gofundme won’t stop until the flag is flying proud.
Let’s see it to the end.

Cheree Toka had to fight her own government for this flag to be flown on the Harbour Bridge.
She worked tirelessly for 5 years, running rallies, collecting 140,000 signatures on petitions and even crowd funded $45,000 for the cost of raising the flag.
When I met Cheree, she was afraid of heights & had never voted or campaigned.
Using @change she lobbied for 5 years to have the Aboriginal flag flown atop the Harbour Bridge.
She WON, conquered her vertigo and this #NAIDOCWeek2023 she leads the Burrawa @BridgeClimb! @ChangeAus
Ochred up on the deadly Burrawa climb to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Aboriginal flag flying permanently atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge
A powerful reminder our Elders are acknowledged.
What a spectacular morning to open #NAIDOCWeek2023@bridgeclimb
@diplo@diplo I forgot to tell you, but THIS happened.
I fought tirelessly to get it up there and now it’s there EVERY SINGLE DAY!

It was an honour to participate in the ceremony for the Aboriginal Flag being raised over Marrickville Police Station. For the first time the Flag will now fly proudly and permanently there.
@Chereetoka’s successful struggle over the Harbour Bridge has set a great example.
This made me feel so proud to be Australian & so proud to know @Chereetoka who made this change, now being broadcast to the world.
Look at the Aboriginal flag, finally up there on our most famous landmark, interrupting colonialism, whilst also paying due respect. It feels right.
@ChrisOfficial@PaulineHansonOz I’d be happier to put my effort into banishing her. She has a voice, she has a platform and she is using it in a volatile manner.
I think we have all endured enough disrespect to do something about it. I believe she needs to be held accountable.
After countless racist rants who believes @PaulineHansonOz deserves her seat in federal parliament?
Does she deserve to stay or should she go?
