The pandemic excuse is dead. The votes kept coming anyway.

Congresswoman Priya Jayapal is facing censure for repeatedly breaking House voting rules by proxy-voting for California Rep. Maxine Waters.

Proxy voting was allowed during the pandemic and discontinued in 2023. Jayapal has still voted for Waters 14 times in the months since Waters was last seen on the House floor.

“It’s a common practice that was made official during the pandemic,” Jayapal said. “Now it’s just a common practice again.”

Hiding a colleague’s true medical condition is one thing. Using her House ID to vote for her is another thing altogether.

This is correct. One of the great myths of Russiagate is that Christopher Steele somehow came up with the dirty dossier. In reality, much of the material had already been cooked up by Clinton operatives before Steele ever entered the picture. That fact alone should have demolished the fantasy that Steele possessed some independent intelligence about Trump or Russia.

In truth, Steele was a cutout who was useful because he could take political garbage generated elsewhere, wrap it in the aura of British intelligence, and feed it back into the FBI as though it had emerged from some serious intelligence gathering process. The FBI, of course, already knew Steele and had previously entertained bogus stories from him.

The infamous pee tape story, for instance, originated with Cody Shearer. Steele just took the story, dressed it up a bit, and folded it into the dossier.

96% of residents interviewed disagreed with the City Council’s decision to do this, but they did it anyway

“From Hollywood to Echo Park and Silver Lake, the homeless were banned from sitting, sleeping, or camping on the sidewalk for years. LA City Council voted to let the camps return.

“96% of the people we spoke to either agreed with removing the zones or had no opinion on the matter” (meaning they want the homeless tents gone but don’t want to say it on camera)

While a lot of attention has rightly focused on Fauci, far too little has been paid to Jeremy Farrar, Fauci’s main accomplice in the Covid origins cover-up. Farrar co-organized the infamous secret February 1, 2020 conference call. The fraudulent Proximal Origin paper was the direct product of that call and became the central instrument for falsely presenting natural origin as scientifically settled.

Farrar was knee deep in the rest of the operation as well. By his own admission, he was close friends with Gao Fu, then head of the Chinese CDC, and he was involved in the broader campaign to close ranks around the fake natural origin story. That included the infamous Lancet letter, which smeared people raising the lab origin possibility as conspiracy theorists bordering on racists.

Gilles Demaneuf and the DRASTIC team previously unearthed one of the most damning emails in the entire origins scandal. Farrar wrote, “I hope there is a paper/letter ready this week to go to Nature (and WHO) which effectively puts to bed the issue of the origin of the virus.” That is not the language of a scientist but of a cover up organizer.

Yet Farrar emerged from the episode not merely unscathed, but rewarded. He was made WHO Chief Scientist, the position from which he abruptly resigned this week.

It is astonishing how little attention has been paid to Farrar. His links to the Wuhan lab, his communications, his close relationship with senior Chinese public health officials, and his central role in running the February 2020 cover up are crucial to understanding how the conspiracy unfolded and how a knowingly false public narrative was manufactured and imposed. Farrar was at the center of the operation, and pulling hard on that thread will unravel a great deal of ugly stuff.

The point that needs to be made loud and clear about David Morens pleading guilty to conspiracy to cover up communications about the origins of Covid is that this was not some scheme run by underlings operating around Fauci. It goes straight to Fauci himself, and we have the documentary evidence to prove it. They may never charge him, and will presumably point to the pardon as the reason while prosecuting only the underlings, but that does not change the underlying facts.

One particularly egregious example is the email chain below. Peter Daszak first reaches out to Morens about how to deal with the fallout from EcoHealth being blamed for failures connected to Fauci's grant to the Wuhan lab. Daszak plainly does not want to be left holding the bag.

In the next email, Morens reports that he has discussed the problem with Fauci. Even more revealingly, the group is also making sure that Erik Stemmy, the NIH program officer responsible for Fauci's Wuhan grant has his story straight.

Then, in the last email in the chain, Gerald Keusch of Boston University, who served as the backchannel in these discussions to keep them outside government communications, adds that Fauci had specifically warned them about using Gmail to circumvent FOIA, because if they accessed Gmail on a government device, the communications could still be discovered.

That is the point that should not get lost. This was not simply a few subordinates freelancing around Fauci. The documentary record places Fauci directly inside the discussions over the underlying grant fraud, the effort to coordinate the official story, and the mechanics of keeping communications beyond the reach of FOIA.
