After giving birth, a woman's internal wounds take six months to heal, 12 months for physical recovery, two years for hormonal balance, and up to five years to rediscover her identity. Relationships frequently fail during this time due to a lack of understanding. Be kind and patient with new mothers; they are facing more challenges than it appears.
Sometimes what looks like “lack of discipline” is simply a child still learning emotional regulation and a parent doing their best in real time. A little grace goes a long way. ✌️✌️
Hate is such a strong word to use about a child you don’t know.
You saw a moment not the whole story. You don’t know if that child was exhausted, unwell, or just having a hard day. Parenting isn’t measured by one public meltdown...
I hate seeing children who lack even basic discipline.
Yesterday at SPAR, a young boy was crying and wailing uncontrollably over ice cream.
His mother stood there pleading with him to calm down, trying to substitute it with a cheaper option.
I almost ran mad on her behalf.
Then I looked at my daughter, calm, composed, and well-behaved and my heart swelled with joy.
