Am I the only one this day and age who learned Japanese by just rawdogging textbooks and making my own resources bc I'm too stupid to figure out all the fancy tech everyone used and too annoyed by things to bother with standard methods .-.

the difference between a good vocalist and a GOOD vocalist is MASSIVE - ive been casually singing (and doing proper exercises and lessons on the regular) for years but the gap is the marianas trench; the work and exercises I do now are FACTORS more than the casual era

If you have a basis of the language (in this case Japanese for me I guess), and you live in an environment where this is the main language, EVERYTHING becomes a built-in lesson... Even my fken push notifications sometimes is just a wall of text

Ppl who live here for very long periods of time like 5 years or sm shi5 and can't at speak/read at an okay level I think they just have not built up the necessary language base to enable what is effectively just passive absorption, and I think that's a waste
