Medicine is in crisis.
Hundreds, if not thousands, of doctors are looking to leave the NHS because training jobs are scarce, pay has been eroded, & their work is not valued.
This crisis sits at the Government’s door. That is why doctors are going back on the picket line.
Incluso a niños. Los remataban en el sitio.”
No contentos con masacrar desde el aire, los soldados israelíes usan drones para cazar y ejecutar a los sobrevivientes heridos.
Una política sistemática de rematar civiles.Esto no es guerra.
Esto es caza de seres humanos, asesinato a sangre fría de heridos y niños.
El mundo entero debe escuchar este testimonio. No hay justificación posible.
Testimonio estremecedor ante el Parlamento Británico
Not a peep of condemnation from Sir @Keir_Starmer about Israel launching daily air strikes & drone attacks on Gaza and Lebanon, killing tens of thousands of human beings, yet he "unreservedly" condemns Russia for a wayward drone strike in Romania that caused minor injuries to two people and killed no one. Yet it's not even been established that it was a Russian drone. The double standards are off the scale.
This is what elite, world-class investigative journalism looks like:
Carole Cadwalladr and her team at The Nerve have forensically stripped the mask off the British political establishment.
The pattern they found in The Harborne Receipts is nothing short of terrifying. Millions of pounds flow from a crypto-billionaire into the pockets of Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, and like clockwork, weeks later, those exact politicians start pushing laws to benefit the crypto industry.
It is the exact same playbook Donald Trump used in America. It is cash-for-policy, clear as day.
While the billionaire-owned press tries to distract us with culture wars and theatre, true journalists follow the money.
This is the toxic soil that is destroying our democracy from within.
Absolute honour to see her back in action!
Nigel Farage registered ‘absent’ from the last 77 votes in Parliament
Official Parliamentary figures reveal that Reform leader Nigel Farage hasn't bothered to vote for anything in the last 11 weeks...

Fortunately, Britain has a Bermuda-registered mass circulation newspaper owned by a French-domiciled billionaire, a television station owned by a Dubai hedge fund and a political party backed by a Thailand-based crypto tycoon to remind us of the importance of patriotism
Doctors want to work. The NHS and patients need doctors.
Yet potentially thousands of doctors could face unemployment in August while NHS speciality training jobs remain capped by the Government.
This NHS crisis is a political choice. Patients and staff deserve better.
It would be bad for public confidence if there was a suspicion that large corporate interests are buying access to the Government via the Tony Blair Institute.
My letter to the cabinet office. 👇🏼
@RichardBurgon@AndrewMeyerson Also questionable is whether new buildings are needed at all. In my view they are almost certainly a costly political gimmick if a kind seen frequently before. Better to improve existing health infrastructure and locate services around GPs. That model worked. Nothing has since.
Hurrah, as someone working in community health for over 40 years they aren’t needed. Invest in enough GPs, Health Visitors, District Nurses and Midwives instead. They, not buildings will improve the nations health.
PFI in our NHS was a costly disaster. It funnelled billions away from patient care and into the pockets of private firms.
I've written to the new Health Secretary urging him to ditch Wes Streeting's plan to use private finance schemes to build new neighbourhood health centres.
Patients face high waiting lists, yet hundreds if not thousands of NHS doctors face potential unemployment in a few weeks time in August.
The jobs crisis for doctors along with our severe real terms pay erosion is why we are going back out on strike in England.
@JeanRowe2 We all need to promote what is actually happening. Like so much in the world I find the failure to be able to influence poor decisions particularly worrying.
You replace doctors with ACPs who do not have the same depth or breadth of medical education and training. They work within protocols and guidelines, with supervision and escalation to doctors when cases fall outside their scope.
Despite this, many are being paid significantly more than equivalent doctor grades.
In reality, most ACP roles function around senior SHO level at best, not consultant or registrar level.
Curiously, the people redesigning NHS employment models are rarely redesigning their own terms and conditions.
In every NHS reform, insecurity seems to travel downward.
The NHS needs more radiologists, yet doctors are still being turned away from training to read scans.
In 2025, 4,011 doctors applied for just 356 radiology training jobs (around 11 applicants per place), while record sums are spent outsourcing scan reporting to private firms.
@jamesmurray_ldn@DHSCgovuk look at this work in #teamGP
Cannot be replaced by AI or lesser trained ACPs/PAs nor in NTC/hubs.
Only fully trained GPs with great teams, who know their patients can do this volume of work (relatively) safely when needed.
Stop phasing out NHS GPs!
