“One of the reasons that I’ve been excited to be involved with the River Basin Center is because, like water itself, it just touches on everything,” said Adam Orford, UGA's environmental law professor. Read more about his cross-disciplinary work: https://t.co/jRvroUbROY.

@hootenannie1 Beef stew and mashed potatoes! It’s hearty and wonderful. I haven’t tried this particular recipe, but it looks close enough to one I have tried! https://t.co/ElzPc9F1iC. Stew can go in a huge mason jar for transport.
@wheresourLOGIC@drosewritings@AttorneyCrump She had already been to the hospital twice. They sent her home. If medical staff weren’t treating this as an emergency, why would she? Women are often TOLD to go home and pass the baby on the toilet.
And there are a million small things that’d make the platform better! We want hidden bookshelves/books (and for those books to still count toward our reading goals!). We want customizable reading goals beyond just the yearly count, i.e. 1 work in translation, 3 nonfiction, etc.
With BookTok going wild, now is the time for Amazon to finally invest in Goodreads. I know book sales aren’t particularly strong, but reading is. I’m not supportive of book piracy, but Goodreads is a platform that could do well regardless of the publishing market.

You know we love a darter here at the RBC, and when it comes to this week’s imperiled species, there’s more to love—literally. The Conasauga logperch (Percina jenkinsi) grows uncommonly long for a darter, reaching up to 5.25 inches.

But we don’t recognize it for what it is because we’ve so associated “emotional” with “feminine,” and so associated anger with men, that anger can’t be emotional, categorically. To be emotional is to be feminine, and to us, anger is anything but.
When we say women are more emotional than men, that assertion hinges on the supposition that anger isn’t emotional, at least not in the way joy, sadness, or hurt are. It’s one of the biggest cons of the patriarchy.
A man shouting at a person who cut him off in traffic? That’s an emotional man. A man who screams at the tv because his team is losing? That’s an emotional man.
