What I will take from my internship into student teaching is developing relationships with my students and making lessons that are relevant to them. I will leave behind getting overwhelmed because I will be in the classroom the whole week so I will know what’s going on!@drtchr

School environments might influence teaching and learning because the more welcoming and accepting that teachers are, the more comfortable students feel. When students have a comfortable environment, they’re more willing to learn! @DrTchr #EDML522

Something that stood out to me from the video was that the teachers said that sometimes, the older kids end up teaching the younger kids. This stood out because sometimes adults think different than teachers and collaboration is important! @DrTchr #EDML522

Pros of integrating curriculum is that students have more applications of the content that they’re learning. The cons is sometimes it can be challenging to lesson plan and make sure it is still applicable. @DrTchr #EDML522

What matters is that students (specifically in middle school) are going through a lot with life and relationships- and as teachers it is one of our responsibilities to be there for them and help them through it! @DrTchr #edml470

What makes an intellectual is someone who is able to help students understand what they don’t even realize they’re confused about. This ability makes a better teacher because students will be more confident that their teacher can help them. @DrTchr #edml470

When planning a lesson, it is important to keep it engaging so that students are kept on their toes and don’t get distracted. It is also important to make the students discuss so that they can share their own ideas
