Here is the 3A South boys' singles champion, Josh Colangelo who will travel to states next week and is two matches away from the state title. Congratulations Josh and good luck as you continue through the postseason.

Chesapeake tennis has its first regional champion in 20+ years. Joshua Colangelo is the boys singles champion for the 3A South region. He won a hard fought match today against his counterpart from Chopticon in a match that lasted over two and a half hours. Congratulations Josh!

Chesapeake is hosting its first postseason tennis tournament tomorrow (6/5/21) with the first round of the 3A South (II) sectional. Match time begins at 2:00 p.m. Come out and support the team as they hope to make a deep run in the playoffs.

TENNIS prevailed over North County 7-2 and in doing so posted the first undefeated season in the past 20 years (if not school history). The match of the day was the from the mixed doubles team of Jamie Gant and Parks Braun. Congratulations, tennis, on making history!

IN THE SPRING of 2018, the girls pictured learned they made the tennis team and marked the occasion with a celebratory selfie. Four years later, four remain and our congratulations to (L to R) Maddie Hoyer, Jamie Gant, Reina Patolia and Jena Kopp for making it this far.

TENNIS kept its win streak alive by taking down Meade and remaining undefeated (UNDEFEATED!) for the season. Key wins by Anna Harmon, Sammi Leo and Frank & Brooks Turek. The team will close out the regular season against North County, home, this Friday.

TENNIS remains undefeated by taking down North County by a score of 8-1. Game ball went to Dan Zenker. Key victories earned in singles by Fitzpatrick and Colangelo. The teams of Hoyer/Patolia prevailed as did the teams of Franks & Brooks Turek, Gant/Braun and Hilpert/Zenker.

Tennis kept its win streak alive and remains undefeated by taking down the Old Mill Patriots, 7-2. Game ball went to Maddie Hoyer, Frank Turek and Riley Fitzpatrick who won his boys singles in a match tiebreak. Great job, tennis.
