For the first time in the history of Swat and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shaheer Nawab, a young disabled chess player from Swat, has qualified for the upcoming FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities 2026 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Shaheer won 4 out of 5 games, securing 3rd position in the trials. I wish him continued success in the future and the very best of luck at the Olympiad!
