I didn't get accepted anywhere (bummer!), off of the 19 Ph.D. programs that I applied to, (harder than hitting a wall head-on!), and some master's plans (damn!), and my backup plans (Woah wtf!)
I always wanted some tool to auto-generate architecture diagrams for my codebase, so I built one!

Intro2Astro, a cost-free open-to-all 8-week course on Astronomy research covering hands-on foundations of working with Astronomy data, getting familiarized with programming, exploring tools for Astronomy research, and navigating research opportunities is back!

It will be structured as weekly hour-long sessions covering tutorials on topics like Exoplanet research, recreating discoveries from JWST, Machine Learning in Astronomy, intro to programming with Python, basics of Git, grad school applications, etc.

@cartilage_ftw Great to hear that! The instruction this year is a bit more asynchronous and we are planning to publish pre-recorded short sessions instead of doing the sessions live, and having a mentor hour for doubts and 1:1s in the upcoming weeks. So the timezone shouldn’t be a hassle
