Our Full Governors meeting was held this past week. A packed agenda with special focus items on writing at the academy & how leaders are using data to focus teaching on specific areas. It was also great to hear about the work being undertaken to ensure equality and diversity.

Absolutely delighted that we've been able to get back out into the local community after recent times.

[Chetwynd Spencer Academy @ChetwyndSpencer]

Otters class have been busy in our #community recently sharing their love of reading, by visiting a local nursery and our neighbours at the care home. Wonderful to see new friendships made by sharing the joy of a good book! 📚 ❤ #appreciation #friendship #sensitivity #BeKind

We're also pleased to announce Emily Brown as our new @ChetwyndSpencer Academy Chair of Governors, replacing Phil Cooper who stood down after 4 years in the role. Phil remains on the LGB. Lauren Holmes & Chin Nagaraja were appointed Vice-Chairs.

First LGB meeting of 22/23 took place tonight. Our first mtg is to set the scene for the year ahead looking particularly at our Academy Development Plan & Teaching School Hub progress.

We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time.

[Chetwynd Governors @ChetwyndGovs]

Good Luck to all our @ChetwyndSpencer Year 6s as they move on to pastures new. Follow your dreams each and every one of you #bekind

We now are looking forward to attending a few final end of year events and a Summer break before returning to Governor duties in the Autumn. Lots of news to share at that point.

[Chetwynd Governors @ChetwyndGovs]

Our last Full Governors mtg was held last night. Some highlights:
- Our Pupil School Council talked to us about their work during the academic year
- Reviewed & analysed end of year pupil data and progress
- Received a report about the impact the Teaching School Hub is having.
