@RepAOC You talk about a dignified life, when people canโt even afford to live in this country. The affordable in housing and health care is skyrocketing and no relief in sight. When CEO at con Edison get a 5 million raise but people donโt have power and sit in the dark and sweat.
New Yorkers are sweating through a fossil fueled heatwave and ConEd is shutting off the AC.
Capitalism is the problem. ConEd is a corporation that puts its shareholders first. They charge us more, they get richer, and our grid falls apart. We need to take our power back.
@GovKathyHochul Why didnโt con Edison have the necessary power grid to support heat waves of this nature? Con Edison knows how to raise rates but doesnโt provide the necessary power when necessary.
@GovKathyHochul@NewYorkStateAG@NYCMayor The power outage in Queens was done intentionally. Con Ed started the outage was due to weather conditions meaning it was turned off and to show @VickieforNYC whoโs in charge. Time to investigate ConEd as taxpayers demand it.
@ConEdison@NYCMayor@VickieforNYC@GovKathyHochul most of the northern queens area is black out and I think this was intentional because @VickieforNYC posted people should feel free to use power as they want to feel comfortable. Look around other borough and nothing like queens
