@umbranoid@Askwhyisit I think Harry didn't quote the guy he's responding to because he doesnt want it to be seen that the guy didn't just call Harry dumb. That's dishonesty.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit I'm sorry that you dont understand; and, dont seem to want to understand the difference. Sadly, there are too many people in today's world like this.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit That's just not true. You can be attracted to your partner, have passionate sex with them, make sure you and them are both satisfied and happy, not even with the intent to procreate; and, still, not feel the insatiable need to have sex with them that lust, by definition, entails.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit Incorrect. It's more like meeting your need to get off without caring about your partner.
And, to be clear - I'm arguing this is a bad thing.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit Lust for power is the same concept - an insatiable need for power. It goes beyond a passion or a desire for power. It usually ends up hurting others in your need to satisfy your demands. The same could be said in terms of lustful sex.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit Lust describes what happens when passion or desire go too far. Lust is when what you're doing isn't enough to satisfy you, so you need to go even further to get something out of it for yourself.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit It's really not. There are varying levels of different emotions involved with these things. You can be passionate about someone but not feel a need to have sex with them. You can desire to be with someone without even being attracted to them.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit I really could not care less what you do. I'm trying to explain why it's stupid to say "lustful sex" is the only useful kind of sex. It's literally the least useful type of sex.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit Lust is not passion. You can be passionate and attracted to your partner without feeling an insatiable need to have sex with them.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit Let's just be clear - lust is about an insatiable desire. It isnt about intimacy rather than fulfilling your own overgrown desires.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit ...Okay?
In terms of "usefullness" as Harry puts it - what was the use of it?
Sex for procreation is literally how life is sustained - that is the ultimate use of sex. Congrats on getting your nut; but, it really didnt result in anything beneficial to anyone.
@JackieFrancesca@Askwhyisit If you try to procreate or have sex with the intent of bearing children, it still is for the purpose of procreation whether or not you succeed in conception...
Not that it matters. If most people have sex for self-satisfaction, so what?
