When I was walking out of Supergirl I saw this little girl right in front of one of the posters, she was jumping with her arm stretched in the air like she was flying. To me, a little girl seeing herself represented like that is a huge part of what makes this movie so important.

men hated supergirl (2026) because she didn’t owe them a damn thing. she was messy, imperfect and refused to let her world revolve around a male love interest. she wasn't built for the male gaze nor was the perfect superhero and that’s exactly why she was the perfect supergirl.
