It’s Torch Run day in Cheyenne! 🔥
This afternoon, we helped escort Special Olympic athletes as they carried the “Flame of Hope” through Cheyenne.
The Wyoming Law Enforcement Torch Run is hosted annually to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Wyoming athletes.
The Cheyenne Police Department is warning residents about an increase in overdoses reported over the past week. Since April 6, officers and emergency responders have responded to five overdoses, two of which were fatal.

A traffic stop early this morning led to the arrest of a local man after officers discovered suspected narcotics, stolen property, and stolen firearms in a U-Haul box truck he was driving.

Today, we joined officers from across the region in Lafayette, CO to honor the life and service of Boulder Police Officer, Alex Kicera, who succumbed to his battle with cancer last week.
We extend our deepest sympathy to his family, friends, fellow officers, and his community.
