FALL.....to rake or not to rake? That is a question. As long as the leaves that have fallen are pest and disease free, then they can be used in your planting beds. Use your lawn mower to mulch them and then spread a layer in your beds. A thin layer can also be left on your lawn.
This is perfect planting weather. Its going to be a great weekend for yard work. Even though the plants are losing their leaves, they are just going to sleep for the winter, but they are very much alive. Be sure to water your plants!
