MY BOOK IS NOW A COLLEGE COURSE TAUGHT BY ME! Words cannot describe how excited I am to finally announce that I’ll be returning as a professor at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania and teaching a course with a curriculum inspired by my book! 🔥
This fall, the revamped Freshman Seminar course for incoming Cheyney freshmen will incorporate my book, The Case for Cancel Culture, as a required reading on campus! I’ll be one of the professors teaching this mandatory course and will participate in a series of guest lectures, workshops, and special events connected to the related programming this school year!
Since writing this book, it was always a dream of mine to have it expand beyond the tour and book clubs featuring it and into the classroom. To have its first curriculum being taught at an HBCU that I’ve had the honor of teaching at is touching. I want to thank all of the department faculty and staff who’ve believed in this vision from the very beginning – especially the professors who read advanced copies of my book last fall and encouraged me to consider stepping up my academic goals for this year! 💙🤍
I can’t wait to return back to campus and engage my students on this topic! There’s so much more to come and I can’t wait! ✨

As the nation's 1st HBCU & once named Cheyney State Teachers College (among other names), we KNOW how important educators are. That's why we fully support @statesystem's plan to address PA's #teacher shortage. #FundPASSHE4PA#PASSHEPromise4PA ➡️https://t.co/AFhkeO9s6A
This is so cool. Dawn Staley is honoring Cheyney State on the sideline today.
Cheyney State played in the first NCAA women’s national championship game in 1982. The team was coached by the legendary C. Vivian Stringer. Only HBCU to appear in an NCAA Final Four or title game.
The 1981-82 Cheyney State Lady Wolves became the first HBCU men's or women's basketball program to play in the Division I championship game.
The women of the team reflect on that historic season. #BlackHistoryAlways
One of the nation's first HBCU was established in 1837 right here in Pennsylvania.
@CheyneyUniv has played a crucial role in the education, empowerment, and success of African American students.
