Ever since I realized what the political game was actually meant to accomplish, it became pretty hard to unsee…

Every few years, you get to choose your next “savior.”

He promises change.
He promises to drain the swamp.
He promises this time will be different.

Then somehow the swamp (or the cult pulling the strings behind the scenes) gets even more powerful than before.

More Flock cameras, more AI-powered surveillance, and more biometric databases to make sure your face, whereabouts, and nose-picking habits are safely on file.

But none of this surprises me anymore.

Even though the Republican party is begging you for another chance, they don’t need your vote…

Red or blue, the machine keeps moving in the same direction, but with different villains and slogans.

Once we stop hopelessly waiting for the next “political messiah” to come rescue us, and stop voting away our authority, we might finally see what’s been staring us in the face:

We never needed them in the first place.
