@zschwarz89 @boltzgalaxy 2 great player who are coming off serious season ending injuries. Everything else is pretty much an unknown again I’m not saying the offensive unit as a whole won’t be top 5 or 10 that’s the expectation. But the oline by itself is not like at all.

The offense has a whole will be good and the OL will be better because of slater and alt but it’s not a top 5 or 10

Penning is the worst player OL don’t get traded for in the middle of the season theyre to valuable and he is not he’s literally the worst. The lions had a bad OL last year compared to their past seasons. Also “might” is very optimistic

@zschwarz89 @boltzgalaxy Strange is bust who’s played 1 season at guard in an offense specifically designed to get the ball out fast. The tackles u could argue are top 5 but it’s a unit and the unit is brand new. With guards who are severely lacking.

@zschwarz89 @boltzgalaxy Slaughter doesn’t look like he’s gonna start and strange is also a bust much like Becton again I agree that Tyler is an upgrade but the oline itself is not top 5 we don’t have the star power for that. The tackles are but they aren’t the only positions on the oline.

I wanted a built IOL instead we resigned penning and signed a pure center and drafted another pure center who looks like wont start at LG.

@boltzgalaxy @zschwarz89 I agree to some extent the center upgrade is massive and McDaniel will scheme around it. But I would like to be sure at guard which I’m not mainly because the players are questionable and you can scheme all that you want but if the players falter it’s over.

@thewhitegates04 @alexinsdorf99 Idk bro like I was hyped for him because I’m a gator fan but he’s only ever played center the reason he was drafted was because of physicals. We already had a center and needed a guard not saying he will never be that or won’t ever start. Just saying this answer was a copout.
