@thunderstribal The "tied people don't vote" thing only is true when they each have 1 vote and can't vote for themselves.
In situations where they diff numbers of votes (1 vs 0 or 2 vs 1), they are included.
@MileHightheGrey I don't really care if low majs schedule hard/easy + I'd much prefer Miami>Auburn, but debate isn't about "just go undefeated", it's "which schedule type, very hard or very easy, is best for getting an undeserved tourny bid as a 90th+ ranked tm"
And to that, the answer is clear
@MileHightheGrey This is a terrible take about a terrible take
Most mid/low majors have zero shot at getting an at large, period
Scheduling this way gave a super mid team a fraction more of a shot than they would have had of a at-large otherwise, which would have been 0.0
@MikeMonaco_ This game will be the 1st one all season long actually playing a real (top 50-ish) team. 2nd if you count KenPom #64 Akron.
I think the first four is the perfect spot for them. Go 1-0 against legitimate teams all year (#42 SMU) and get into the round of 64. Seems totally fair.
@SabreGolf Could also be a just simple splash page that lists your picks in the same format as the email, but the confirmation page / email from prev years was useful for copy/pasting into excel to confirm I actually entered stuff as intended. Def have made entry errors in the past.
@SabreGolf any chance you could update the daily email when picks lock to include the percentage of people who took the same side you did in each game?
#13 Georgia St (34%)
#11 Old Dominion (91%)
Etc
@SabreGolf Love the new website - well done. One more feature add I'll ask for:
A button to send a summary email of my own picks. It's not 100% clear if you have unsaved picks, and it'd be nice to get that "your picks have locked" email *before* picks actually lock, to check your work.
@SabreGolf@Stuckey2 Hey, just FYI, Day 2 actually has 5 gms - the stupid/strange Horizon has 1 of their 5 quarterfinal (?) games tmrw, but it's not reflected on the pick page
Also, if we reply to the email blast from the site saying "picks are due", does that get to you? Or is this the easier way?
@DanWetzel There really is an art to beating teams by just enough to make it convincing that it was hard work, yet still showcases your own quality.
Its a weird, delicate balance that makes zero sense in the big picture.
@amicsta Does Texas A+M, Indiana, Georgia and Penn St last year not count?
And why does "don't play in a conference" matter at all except to show your bias?
@JakobSanderson There's this feeling they have that the 2pc comea down to pure belief/will to win, not a general 49% chance success rate that's largely out of your control.
And no, your probably shouldn't.
@bcfremeau Curious on why there's jitter to the black dots on the bottom chart? Shouldn't those be in descending order, or is there something else to the sort/ranking?
