The Chicago Highlanders Pipe Band was established in 1921 and is one of the oldest pipe and drum corps in the U.S. Check out our YouTube channel and subscribe!
Yesterday, members of our band and Dundee Scottish had the privilege to play for the Sedgebrook community for their Veteran’s Day event. We had a wonderful time, and love the opportunity to share our passion with others.
Today we honor all who have taken up arms to serve and protect their country. As a pipe band, we are proud to play our instruments in tribute and memory of our armed forces, and hope it brings them peace long after the battles are over.
Chanter work at the table last night during band practice. While we love blowing our pipes and making some noise, it’s important to also use our practice chanters to iron out bad habits. Join us on Thursday’s if you’d like to learn and join our band.
@xrtfan_ Hi! Sorry for the long wait in contacting you. I’ve sent a DM with some questions for you. We’d love to hear back and get more info on your father and make sure he’s up on our alumni section!
This past Saturday, a few of our members got together to play for a neighborhood Halloween block party. We had a wonderful time sharing our craft with many costumed and non-costumed party goers. Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween!
