Agencies should be the people protecting their talent from predators and yet they consistently send them into the dens of monsters such as @thelogandrake, @eastcoastceleb, @MrLifestyles, @jayrockcontent, etc.
If you are thinking about joining the industry please do not join with a small agency unless you have thoroughly vetted them and have an escape route, most of them are abusive just like David's Angels.
Get references from multiple people at each agency you're considering.
Don't just talk to the top models as they will be treated the best.
Talk to everyone you can and ask people that have been around for a while about their experiences and what they've heard.
Look at what happened with Dave Rock and Motley Models.
Being a large agency does not mean that they are ethical at all.
Tread carefully and remember that you do not need an agent.
You do not need to shoot for companies.
You do not need anyone but yourself and a cell phone at this point.
An agent should be a compliment to your career, Not a boss.
They should be there to help you and protect you, not just profit off of you.

I pay OC modeling 15% of my bookings that they get for me and I don't even have a contract so I could leave at any time.
No one should be trying to take more of your money and no one should be trying to lock you into a contract especially not one that lasts longer than a year.
The contracts are honestly not even legally enforceable and predatory agents will use them to threaten models into doing things that they don't want to do.
Sexual coercion and predatory behavior should not be tolerated, but it is.

And please if you're ever scared of your agent or your agent yells at you please reach out to me and I will come and get you.
No agents should be yelling at their talent ever. It's completely inappropriate and disgusting for these older men to be screaming at teenagers because the teenagers don't want to fuck the men they want them to fuck.
Or because they're asking for help because their incompetent agent sent them to the wrong addresses and cost them $300 in Uber rides.
Remember that, Chris?
I remember her calling me crying.
