@hellocherrymo published her new book and once we heard she was an alumni of Arcadia, we had to go support! This is a really cute book about moving to a new country and how her lunchbox was the daily warmth to get through the anxiety of navigating a new language and culture. ❤️
Reviewing geometric terms with some art work. Students looked at their peers art work and looked for a list of things. Creativity needed to be used as they had to make irregular shapes. Ss had so much fun! @CaminoGrove
Day before spring break and so, let’s have some fun with math review. Questions are in plastic eggs and students will have to hunt and solve! 😂 Ready for Friday!!! @CaminoGrove
Thank you PTA for the decks of cards for math. Was going to discard the Kings, queens, and jacks but then…bam! Idea for Counting Collections popped up. Love multi purposing the cards. @CaminoGrove
Counting Collections in full effect with Fractions! Students collaborate to count how many wholes they have. Great conversations and love their ah ha moments. @CaminoGrove@ArcadiaUnified
The love my students have one another is astonishing. Passing out grams to one another and then all the Thank Yous! Even those who didn’t bring any were included by peers to help pass out Valentine’s. My ❤️ is full from them. Happy Valentine’s Day! @CaminoGrove
In preparation of Valentine’s Day, my students worked together on equivalent fractions and found the perfect match for each fraction. Hearts were made full. @CaminoGrove@ArcadiaUnified
@CaminoGrove fourth graders starting their fractions unit with a little Splat to get them talking and for me to see what they already know. Thanks @SteveWyborney for the engaging activity! They ♥️ them! @ArcadiaUnified
