@The_Acumen @Jani__Gee You do know that the mortgage would be less than the rent of a 5 bedroom place? Living in a 5 bedroom place for $1,000 a month vs a 2 bedroom for $3,000 is a great benefit to her. Both are taking on risk, and formalizing expectations in a written lease would help them both.

I do not understand why so many people are so set on understating the value of a good second baseman.

He was the worst defensive second baseman arguably last year (never denied that) but managed 30 hr 80 rbi. You just don’t get that at second base.

@lukeholman102 @TorturedRaysFan A 4 WAR second baseman per season average player is a very good player, and great for the talent of the Rays. You’re strawmanning a superstar argument upon me. Averaging his defense and offense, he had been very good. His career 124 OPS+ speaks to his value.

Yes Brandon Lowe was very and defensively last season, but career, he has been a mid defender. Offensively, he was a top 5 second baseman.

What really sucks about losing BLowe is the unique contribution he is, a power hitting second baseman. Ben Williamson and Palacios are far cries from that.

Cleavinger and Seymour were very solid last season, and both imploding yesterday seemed fluky.

Fairbanks was 7th in save percentage last season and only had 5 blown saves. That was not atrocious.

Jax had one blown save and was 117 ERA+, not atrocious.
