"There are those who say that we must temper the American dream because of the events of 9/11" says Kenneth Gardner during a speech at the Trump Tower on May 18th 2005. We build on that spirit with our vision to bring back the #twintowers and denying defeat by the adversaries.
On May 11th 2026 (at 2:35 pm CDT), Raphael Chryslar, our founder and project leader, gave a televised interview with @fox32news Chicago, hosted by Anita Blanton. We congratulate his successful effort, considering that this is his first-ever live news presentation and such a challenge is particularly a high-anxiety moment for someone who is autistic. You can watch the full interview here https://t.co/BFKqj1LJ0e
In the days since, we have seen continued growth of our network. Darcellus Wrice (a risk management and capital oversight professional based in Chicago) joined our initiative and shared useful advice for Phases 3 and 4. Alongside a recommendation from our collaborator Ken Gardner, we have officially adopted the implantation of cost-effective residential space in both twin towers, such as the upper thirds of the buildings (floors 74-100), with STEM labs and facilities occupying the rest of the buildings. This would augment the functional diversity in our mixed-use campus.
As we advance towards our publications on July 1st, we will also be conducting #ComputationalFluidDynamics (CFD) simulations on the tower's effects on the surrounding city, and refined #FiniteElementAnalysis (FEA) on the structural elements.

May the 4th be with you — where science fiction meets real-world engineering.
As part of the ongoing development of the World Technology Center, we’ve been exploring conceptual integrations of advanced infrastructure systems — including an exploratory idea of an aerial threat detection and neutralization concept. We are aware that this is a particularly popular topic among recent media coverage about our vision.
The newly developed schematics (see images) illustrate how such a system could be architecturally integrated at the rooftop level of the Twin Towers:
• Radar-assisted tracking and identification
• Optical and sensor-based targeting systems
• Enclosed, retractable protective hatches
• Directed-energy concept modules
While this may sound futuristic, elements of this technology are already emerging today. For example, the UK’s #DragonFire defense laser system has demonstrated:
• Engagement of aerial targets at the speed of light
• Extremely high precision (comparable to hitting a small coin at long distance)
• A potential operating cost of less than £10 ($12.50) per shot, significantly lower than conventional systems
These systems rely on advanced beam control, sensor fusion, and precision tracking technologies — including fast steering mirrors and high-resolution targeting systems. For further reading, visit

It’s important to emphasise that:
• These are early-stage conceptual exploration, not a fundamental requirement for this proposed project
• The broader vision is centred on resilience, safety, and future-ready infrastructure
• The World Technology Center remains fundamentally a civilian STEM, research, and education hub
Throughout history, science fiction has inspired engineering breakthroughs. Today, we are exploring how those ideas might translate — responsibly — into future infrastructure design.

Atop the World Technology Center's Science South Tower is the spire that will rise to a symbolic height of 1,969 feet. It pays tribute to the year of what can be considered humanity’s greatest achievement — the Apollo 11 Moon landing — a moment that redefined what was possible through science, engineering, and collective ambition.
The pinnacle carries a large American flag, inspired by the legacy of Apollo. Representing not only national pride but a broader spirit of exploration and progress that belongs to all of humanity.
As we now witness the next chapter unfold through the @NASAArtemis II mission - the first crewed flight beyond Low Earth Orbit this century (and in over 50 years) - paving the way for a permanent presence on the Moon. Today, the crew have ventured farther from Earth than any human before in history.
The World Technology Center is envisioned as a living, breathing hub for STEM innovation and outreach — a place where the next generation of breakthroughs in aerospace, energy, medicine, and infrastructure can take shape. Design elements (like these) are storytelling through engineering, embedding meaning into form. We look forward to sharing more as the vision continues to evolve.

We’re grateful to see continued media interest in the World Technology Center initiative. @WBAY To clarify: the project is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 a data center.
It is a public STEM research and education campus designed to support scientific advancement, collaboration, and future innovation.
We’ve also seen references to ‘advanced laser defense’ concepts in recent coverage.
To clarify: these are early-stage, exploratory ideas, not core components of the project.
We appreciate the coverage and look forward to sharing more details soon.

#Science is by definition: the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained. Our view of science is the foundation of progress, shaping how we understand the world and how we build for the future; and this principle leads into the definition of technology.
#Technology is the application of scientific knowledge, tools, techniques, and systems to solve practical problems, improve efficiency, or simplify human life. From engineering and medicine to energy and space exploration, its impact reaches every aspect of modern life.
Our vision is to celebrate and elevate science by making it visible, accessible, and integrated into everyday urban experience. We believe the future of cities lies in bringing together research, education, industry, and public life—creating STEM environments where innovation is not hidden, but shared.
As part of this mission, we’ve recently submitted our vision for Chicago’s future to the Horizon Lines initiative by @WorldBizChicago, contributing to the conversation on how cities can evolve as global hubs for science and innovation.
"The future will be built on knowledge, and science will lead the way"

As our project progresses through Phase 2 (detailed on our website strategy) we will be publishing our Comprehensive report, Documentary and Press Kit no earlier than May 2026. For official newsletter announcements, visit https://t.co/DwSKwIv02S
To clarify the online buzz: the World Tech Center's Data Facilities are a small minority of the overall scope of amenities. Our vision (in broad terms) is a massive hub for diverse STEM development, networking, apprenticeship schemes and education.

As the World Technology Center gains public attention, we’re seeing a range of interpretations of the project. To clarify: the project is currently in the concept development and feasibility phase. It is not a replica, but a modern, reimagined development inspired by the original World Trade Center, with a new purpose in science and technology.

CATIA V5 (an industry standard aerospace CAD and FEA structural analysis software) is used to model our super-strong Twin Towers. An UHPC core and A514 steel (amongst others) will ensure our design would exceed today's strict building codes. Read more on https://t.co/QjyU7gv8kL
We are proud to share the front cover of our upcoming report: a 100+ page peer-assessed document that will explore our vision and history, ethical and cultural review, engineering improvements, and the case for renewal in full detail. More info on LinkedIn. #America#TwinTowers
