One of my students enrolled in my course back in 2021. She just checked in to say she’s still maintaining her 30lb weight loss! Imagine being able to keep the weight off for years without doing anything drastic 🙌🏾
@RVAReid Walmart, ALDI, and many other local grocery stores have tons of fresh and frozen fruit and veggies.
YouTube has tons of free exercises videos. You don’t even have to leave the house to work up a good sweat.
@RVAReid There’s also a lot of misinformation and lack of information in our community. We think things are out of reach and don’t even try. Losing weight comes down to being in a calorie deficit. You don’t need expensive grocery stores or a gym to lose weight.
@RVAReid I get the sentiment but it doesn’t cover the issue that most people are overeating because they’re using food to cope with negative emotions such as boredom, loneliness, sadness, anger, etc. For many people, this has nothing to do with food/gyms but mental and emotional health.
It’s 2023, let’s normalize PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH THERAPY. You keep wanting to pray on it not realizing your prayer is being answered in the form of a licensed mental health professional. Don’t be afraid to accept the help you prayed for.
If you lost weight in 2022 and you gained it all back in 2022, please don’t go right back to doing what you did because it “worked.” More often than not, you’ll end up regaining it again. It’s time to switch strategies.
