@Ragnar1128 @Milo_H4 I wasn't being pedantic about these scenes. I'm just stating that based on analysis & reasonable comparisons to conventions of the male gaze, it is present in the series. That doesn't make things weird nor make the content problematic, but it's fair to raise criticism about it.

@Milo_H4 Even if it's not intentional, male gaze is pretty deeply implemented into most media which is probably why she was portrayed like this. And while the things I mentioned about the frame are not inherently sexual, again, they're usually conventions that are sexualized in media.

@Milo_H4 It's pretty intentional male gaze and follows a lot of conventions of it in one single shot. She's restrained, in a vulnerable position, has a revealing outfit and the frame is clearly focusing on her upper body. The scene didn't even have to be there, but it is.
