SHOCKING! - the ACP’s latest tax filing reveals members received a mere $130 for “supplies” while Kyle Pettis, the party’s sole listed officer, awarded more than 45k as a salary to a single employee — himself! 🧵
And this is EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
Allowing hedonists to make a mockery of Christianity by lying through their teeth like this should not be a thing we do.
Was Jesus "coveting" when he kicked over the money-changers' table?
Was he coveting when he explained that a camel will enter the eye of a needle easier than a rich man entering the Kingdom of Heaven? When he explained that it was not because he was rich that he would find it so difficult, but because wealth so easily persuades a man that he has no need of God or his neighbor, inherently separating him from his fellow man and The Divine?
Was he coveting when he told the rich young ruler to sell what he had and give it to the poor?
Was he coveting when he warned, "You cannot serve both God and Mammon"?
Was he coveting when he condemned those who "devour widows' houses" while making a public display of their righteousness?
Was he coveting when he pronounced woe upon those who were rich because they had already received their consolation?
Was he coveting when he told the parable of the rich fool who built larger barns, only to die that very night because he had become rich toward himself instead of rich toward God?
Was he coveting when he told the story of the rich man and Lazarus, where the rich man is condemned not because Lazarus wanted his house, but because he walked past a suffering human being every single day and did nothing?
The Tenth Commandment forbids desiring what belongs to your neighbor. It does not command us to celebrate greed. It does not require us to admire exploitation. It certainly does not forbid us from condemning injustice.
The prophets, Christ, and the apostles spend page after page warning those who oppress the poor, cheat laborers, neglect the widow, and make wealth into an idol. The people pretending that every criticism of wealth is "coveting" have to erase an enormous portion of Scripture to make that argument work.
The point of the Gospel is not, "Leave the rich alone." The point is that God calls every one of us—especially those with power, wealth, and influence—to love our neighbor more than our possessions.
@ryudawolf Soy furry degenerates like you are one of the biggest reasons The Immortal Science of Marxism is unpopular in the west. You do the right wing's work for them by being such smarmy faggots.
@RockChartrand Dumb as a Rock Shartpants wants the nepo baby elite to extract the surplus value of our labor in perpetuity until we have hoovervilles again. The sad part about it is he'll be right there next to us at the company store spewing "real capitalism has never been tried" bullshit.
@DouglasSpaeder They'd be too busy sperging out about the "little faggot with the earring and the makeup" line to notice tbf. Meanwhile we still gotta move these microwave ovens...
Never forget that it was Kiev that dispatched its Neo Nazi militias into Donbass
They fired the first shots, fired the first shells, took the first lives.
@MiltonFriedmanW Dude was a tiny soft handed little four eyed nerd who never worked a day in his life and should have been permanently stuffed in a locker. His version of "freedom" means the freedom of the owning class to exploit the working class.
