@woahnelly221@MikeWahle68 Shouldn't Morgan turn up field sooner, blow up Watson's man, and continue on to the next target. RB follows. This had the opportunity to be a really big play but I think Morgan went too wide. Who cares about that DB. If Morgan blows up Watson's man, Watson can pick him off.
@BaseballJeff1 That was a new low if that is possible. I understand Adames is hurting but some of these innings and plays look as though they are intentionally throwing games. That non-DP plus a dropped flyball made Little Leaguers on ESPN blush. Just brutal.
@BaseballJeff1 I am ok with not seeing another McCray AB. Seems like a nice kid and hope he can find it someday. SF has a lot of players hitting well in AAA. Why is nobody else being given an opportunity?
@BaseballJeff1 No idea why. If he is the superior defender to Gilbert, and Gilbert provides little to no offense, why wouldn't you give him a legit chance if you are going to have him skip a level. At least you are better defensively.
@BaseballJeff1 any ideas why the Giants would call up Cox from AA and only use him as a late inning base stealer. Gilbert is hitting. 219 and Cox is a better CF... slow play Eldridge style...๐คทโโ๏ธ
@BaseballJeff1 Until they can hit a fastball down the middle, they will have a low walk rate. in a 3-ball count there is no reason to walk any of them. Sure, they could chase less and see more 3-ball counts, but again, I'd guess they are seeing the most fastballs in the zone and missing them!
@BaseballJeff1 Giants organization is struggling in all facets of baseball with exception of the Areaz signing and minor leagues widely drafted by the previous regime.
@DaireCarragher What's also apparent, is neither of the 3 want to return punts either. Especially Doubs and Nixon. RB is also the Packers Assistant Head Coach and seems to have MLF's ear. He is reportedly a "great guy" but damn...
@BaseballJeff1 Jeff it sounds like your Dad was also a fighter! His heavenly body has a forever memory and he is social skills are as good as ever. Thank you for providing daily "therapy" for me and I enjoy your takes and coverage of the Giants. May you find peace in his love and memory.
@BaseballJeff1 I get that Doval had a bounce back 1st half of the year and also made an All-Star appearance but he also was demoted to Triple A last year! As fans we always want more but Doval wasn't even tradable at this time last year! Feels like an organizational decision to move on.
@BaseballJeff1 Having Doval unavailable after throwing last night for no reason and now wasting Rodrigues makes zero sense. Not sure this was BoMel's best series...
@BaseballJeff1 Fitz is the 9 hitter. There is an adjustment to that as well. Dude is a ballplayer, very athletic, and always hustles. He isn't expected to hit .300, I understand the expectations after hitting so many HR's last year, but the fact he has that pop as well adds to the lineup.
@ByRyanWood@AndyHermanNFL I have wondered if the RD situation is less about production & more about the interception in MN. In Monday's presser MLF stated how RD was basically at fault. RD was supposed to go deeper and carry the route longer. I thought it was odd to call RD out at the time
@TylerDBrooke He lacks instincts. I think at times he sees the play develop in front of him but he just doesn't react fast enough. Blocks himself way too much by dancing around or being a step or two late. I think GB sees it and that is exactly why they spent a 2nd round pick on Cooper.
@BaseballJeff1 @AdamDoctolero My issue is he crushes the HR against Oakland. Then doesn't see the field for two games. I believe he then faced a tough reliever or possible Sale? That's tough!
