TECH UPDATES:
As you may have noticed, resolving indexing issues has taken longer than usual.
The tech team, led by @0xlocrian, has identified a permanent solution to prevent any future problems, taking a longer timeframe to rewrite a new indexer from scratch capable of functioning under any type of stress.
The new indexer is currently ready and in the testing phase, and it will be implemented as soon as the results of internal tests are positive.
Specifically, the following issues have been resolved:
• Both trades made through the UI and the contract are now indexed instantly.
• Indexing no longer depends on the UI, eliminating the risk of synchronization issues and data loss.
• The way referral fees are updated has been improved, as there were numerous issues with it previously.
In general, the old indexer added complexity to the backend, slowing down overall response times, especially for the buy and sell buttons.
Regarding the platform’s stability and speed, the team is working on a NoSQL solution with a more dynamic and flexible structure.
The core issue we are currently addressing is the high volume of queries our database is receiving to retrieve information. Bot-generated traffic is exacerbating the situation.
A solution to this problem is to implement an ElasticSearch-based database.
The distributed nature of ElasticSearch allows for processing large volumes of data in parallel, quickly finding the best matches for queries. Operations such as reading or writing data typically take less than a second to complete.
Furthermore, this solution enables real-time monitoring of traffic to block bot activities without negatively impacting the site's performance.
