I don’t agree with much Mrs. Crockett says, but I agree with this statement. I’ve made decisions in my past that were “contraventions of the law,” but that does not make a person a criminal. If that were the case, then every single person who has cheated on taxes, shared streaming service passwords, jaywalked, texted while driving, underage drank or supplied alcohol to minors, falsified a work/school excuse or doctor’s note, participated in coordinated harassment or secret targeting, or used prescription medication not prescribed to them would all be labeled criminals. I could go on and on with what everyday Americans do while still bolstering themselves to unwarranted levels of moral superiority. Like big kids pointing fingers. It’s clown behavior.

People make mistakes. They grow and learn from them. Not one single person on this platform has any moral standing to judge someone else for their mistakes. No, a person accused of committing crimes is not automatically a criminal. That term should be scrutinized carefully before labeling someone as such.

Criminals do exist, and the biggest of them wear suits, uniforms, drive nice cars, live in rich and middle-class neighborhoods, coach little league, attend church on Sundays, hold high positions, govern cities and states, establish laws, and many even enforce them.
