@brettachapman My mother born in 1920 was taken by my grand parents back to our lands in OK in 1922 specifically to enroll her children onto the Ponca rolls. The Indian Citizenship act was an attempt to separate us under their jurisdiction and deny Treaty obligations which we still have.

Let the record show the last forced removal in 1877 and Federal Court victory in 1879 for the Ponca a first in U.S. history. We Remain !

@brettachapman I have found out that Haskell failed to have their buildings prepared for many indigenous children which lead to a large number of them freezing to death. Also my Grandmother's oldest child born in 1910 is unaccounted for and died the year my mother was born 1920. I will find her
