Yesterday, the Public Safety leadership staff attended a retreat focused on our vision, mission, values and goal alignment, along with leadership development and team building.
This week is National Police Week. I wanted to share my appreciation for the hard work UCPD officers do every day. I also wanted to reflect on the sacrifice of officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. https://t.co/0XTaTcO8LJ
My heart goes out to the Springfield Township Police Department and the family and friends of Officer Tim Unwin, and the family and friends of the civilian driver also involved in the crash. Please accept my deepest condolences. You will be in my thoughts.
Beautiful memorial service today in remembrance of those we have lost from our UC community in 2022. I appreciated the opportunity to gather and remember them, especially UCPD Dispatcher Cindy Shipp.
Today we gathered with others from UC to remember the Bearcats we lost in 2022, including UCPD Dispatcher Cindy Shipp. Thank you to Jill Schmidt, Corey Buckler and Reanna Kingery for writing a beautiful tribute to Cindy, and to Reanna for reading the tribute during the service.
Sending my heartfelt condolences to Officer Zick's family and my brothers and sisters at the Cincinnati Police Department. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Chief Theetge regrets to announce the death of Police Officer Olivia Zick. Officer Zick was a kind and compassionate Police Officer that cared deeply about helping others in the communities she served. Officer Zick's family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.
We celebrated a lot of employees this week! Maria Madera and Jeremy Hinman celebrated five years with UC and Kawanda Dedrick-Thomas and Larry Frederick celebrated 20 years with UC. Thank you for everything you've done for UC Public Safety and the entire university!
I've had the pleasure of working with many dedicated, hard working law enforcement officers throughout my career. Thank you so much for all that you do. #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay
