Recognized for our work on Anti-AAPI Hate by California Attorney General @RobBonta at the Inaugural Filipino American Friendship Festival. Congratulations and Thank you to @JoAnnFields619 for an amazing job with today’s festival. 🤙🏼🎉🇵🇭#CommunityStrong#StopAAPIHate
Like everyone else who knew them, I am heartbroken over the tragic deaths of SDPD Detectives Jamie Huntley-Park and Ryan Park. I will never forget them! Please keep their family, department co-workers, and friends in your prayers! Rest Easy Detectives!
1/3 I recently read hate speech from an activist regarding the Thin Blue Line Flag and what it represents. To those who wear the badge, it represents 2 things, and it has never been a “political statement.”
2/3 it is a sacred memorial remembrance to our brothers and sisters who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to their fellow citizens. To those still reporting to duty every day and night, it is a symbol of our Solemn vow
We honor and thank all our veterans who served in uniform and the families who supported them and also those who continue to serve our Nation’s ArmedForces. #GodBlessTheUSA#VeteransDay2020 🇺🇸🙏🏼❤️
Our department mourns with the men and women of @houstonpolice as they suffer the tragic loss of Sgt. Harold Preston.
We also standby with them in spirit as Ofc. Courtney Waller who was seriously wounded begins the road toward recovery of his wounds.
Our hearts are with you.
It has been a great honor to serve as a San Diego Lifeguard since the late 80’s. Many thanks to all who have been part of the journey! Farewell San Diego. Keep San Diego Beaches great! – Lt. Andy Lerum
Tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with @LASDHQ as two of their deputies are fighting for their lives.
The two deputies sustained multiple gunshot wounds in an ambush attack as they sat in their patrol vehicle.
We will #NeverForget the ultimate sacrifice made by Motor Officer Terry Bennett who was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle when the driver deliberately turned, struck, and killed Officer Bennett. You are missed, Officer Bennett! End of Watch: June 26, 2003. #NLEOMF#SDPD#SDPOA#RIP
@ChrisWardD3 “Playing armchair quarterback and second-guessing the actions of front-line police officers while they have projectiles launched at them is NOT the leadership San Diego needs right now.”
Congratulations to @SDSheriff Volunteer Photographer Walter Wallenborn for being named one of the 2020 Volunteers of the Year by @SanDiegoCounty. Besides documenting our events, Walter also works closely with the Sheriff's Communications Center. https://t.co/7Id8jSNy3I #ThankYou
Today we remember Motor Officer Jerry Griffin for making the ultimate sacrifice. Officer Griffin was struck by a speeding vehicle while working a radar speed-enforcement detail and passed away 11 days later. Rest in peace, Officer Griffin. End of Watch: April 25, 2003. #NLEOMF
This video reflects the End of Watch radio call that is put out department-wide when an officer is killed in the Line of Duty. Officer Dan Walters was killed as a result of injuries sustained on-duty. Rest in peace, Officer Walters. We’ll take it from here. #NLEOMF#RIP
