Only 15–18% of Africa’s merchandise trade takes place within the continent, despite the immense opportunity the AfCFTA presents.

Remarkably, women drive nearly 70% of this intra-African trade.

The inaugural #HerAfCFTA Regional Conference in Abuja brought together policymakers, the private sector, and the @UN to identify practical pathways for expanding intra-African trade while strengthening women’s leadership and participation in unlocking the full potential of the AfCFTA.
