Last week, we proudly celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Duncanville High School Career & Technical Education (CTE) Addition—a milestone made possible by the support of our community through Bond 2023. 🎉 ✂️
Now, the excitement continues as our students begin learning in these incredible new spaces designed to prepare them for college, careers, and beyond. From culinary arts and cosmetology to engineering, robotics, graphic design, and more, these state-of-the-art facilities are opening doors to endless opportunities. #LEADwithIMPACT #OneTeamOneFamily #CareerReady #DuncanvilleISD
Today, I visited our @CLEMetroSchools Downtown Education Center (DEC) school for students serving time in the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center. I was able to see, once again, the phenomenal leadership and programming of @deray and @CampaignZero. I am beyond grateful for their continued partnership and for filling necessary service gaps. I enjoyed having conversations with our scholars at DEC and witnessing their potential. One young man gave a shoutout to his teacher that just retired, "Ms. R.J. Catledge is the best teacher ever!" I have so much gratitude for the DEC educators and Dr. Temujin Taylor the principal. The @CityofCleveland and Rhonda Brown are also key partners in this work. It truly takes a village to educate a child. When we say we're Building Brighter Futures in CMSD, we mean for ALL scholars. Even those in the most unfortunate situation of being incarcerated. #ProudCEO #BuildingBrighterFutures #CMSD
As I begin my 4th school year as CEO of @CLEMetroSchools, it was great to return on the @fox8news morning show with @KickinKenny for our annual Stuff the Bus event. Fox News 8, @SC4K, and the Cleveland community donated thousands of school supplies to ensure our scholars and educators are ready for this school year. I am so grateful for this generous support. School starts for most CMSD students a month from today, on August 24th! We will be launching a web page soon where you can receive important back to school information and updates. In the meantime, we hope to see you at our Back to School Festival in collaboration with @justinmbibb and @cityofcleveland on Saturday, August 8th at Public Auditorium. #CMSD #BacktoSchool
It was great to celebrate the legacy of service, leadership, and impact of the @NaacpCleveland at this year's Freedom Fund Dinner. Dr. Otis Moss Jr. and Edwina Moss were honored and @OtisMoss3 delivered a powerful keynote! I am grateful for the work @CLEMetroSchools does to educate and serve the Cleveland community. Here's to continued collective work and empowerment in our great city.
Last week's Back to School Fair was one to remember, with more than 6,000 attendees!😀
Thank you to our @cityofplanotx and community partners for their support, helping our students and families feel prepared and ready for a successful school year!👏

Ground breaking moment at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street and Oscar Robertson Blvd.
IPS broke ground today on a $44 million expansion of @CAttucksIPS, marking a new chapter for one of the most historically significant schools in the nation.
The project, which will add four new specialty classrooms, an advanced health lab, and a regulation-size gymnasium to the Attucks campus, is anchored by a $25 million investment from @IU_Health and @theindyHD in partnership with @IndyFoundation, and additional funding through IPS bonds. It’s expected to be complete by Winter 2028.
