This appears to show illegal waste dumping at Luxborough Lakes - allegations and film of site is truly shocking. And now a planning application to import 1.5 million tonnes of “clean” earth to improve disabled access to the lake - would this slow a prosecution @paulpowlesland ?
I’ve never encountered a more perfect example of how screwed up our conversation about land access & responsibility is, & how leniently we view environmental crime by landowners, than this scene I encountered on the River Roding today
p.15 of the Transport Assessment in planning app EPF/O502/35 says the applicant will bring in 1.53 million tonnes of “clean soil” over 3 years via 20 ton trucks. So 100 x 20 ton trucks a day through Chigwell, down Luxborough Lane to empty soil into the lake & driving out again

This is 6 year old Conor who recently attended one of our Water Safety Education Sessions at his school.
He came straight home and asked his mum to record him talking about water safety.
