The most-engaged crypto post this week was a guy admitting he was wrong.
Benjamin Cowen (@benjamincowen), a PhD analyst with 1.26M followers, spent most of 2026 firmly bearish. Then yesterday he posted one line: "I was wrong. Not going to make excuses."
That did 3.2M impressions and 879 signal. about 5x his best post all month.
He'd been calling for a big low later this year. The market went the other way, and instead of quietly deleting the call or spinning it, he just owned it in the open.
That's rarer than it sounds. Nobody on here admits they were wrong. everyone called every top, everyone's a genius looking back, and the bad calls quietly disappear. He did the opposite, and it turned into his biggest moment in a month.
Some people made fun of him, others stuck up for him, saying he got most of the bear market right before this. both happening at once.
The point isn't who's right about the market. it's that just saying you were wrong gets you more attention than pretending it didn't happen.
works every time.
