It’s reported that Major Shamsudeen Sani, who has been serving with the army in the Northeast for several months, has been detained and denied the right to see his two wives and his children.
The only “crime” he committed was withdrawing his soldiers from the battlefield at a time when he had urgently requested reinforcement troops and emergency equipment but received none while they were locked in combat with ISWAP fighters and he ordered his men to pull back after realizing the enemy was about to overpower them.
