Dear Archbishop @ArchbishopSarah
I am still waiting for some action and answers from @churchofengland. No success so far because of the defensive CofE safeguarding culture.
Years are marching on but you can act and help me now.
When will I hear from you?
In hope,
@ChildCofe
Cathedral deans are to meet MPs next month to discuss the financial sustainability of cathedrals in light of the #Theos report, it was announced at the National Cathedrals Conference on Tuesday

@GuardintheFlock They for sure put much energy into reputation management. My own experience of Church House (CofE) is that honesty and integrity seem to matter little in the construction of a mirage.
The leadership is part rotten borough and part incompetency.
Dear Alexander Kubeyinje, National Director CofE Safeguarding,
With these recommendations - same old, same old - when are you planning to look at the faulty CofE processes I've been through? The years of waiting now in double digits. Deseve better.
In anticipation
@ChildCofe
Team at @passionpix have treated us with compassion, sensitivity and love. We wanted our story told, and told well, and they delivered. This morning, I get a message, checking I am OK. I never heard from the CofE re the documentary. Congratulations Passion, u were all brilliant.
So proud of the team @PassionPix - we just won a @BAFTA for this! And proudest of all of the John Smyth survivors who told their story with such power and composure ♥️ Privileged to help them achieve accountability.
Totally this Joanne Grenfell needs to go.
Victims and survivors called and call her ‘absent Grenfell’.
Says it all really.
Although her behaviour only embodies our wider culture in which so many bishops actually refuse to meet with victims and survivors.
That is appalling.
Truly appalling.
I have experienced it when the bishops that I have served under both area and Diocesan have absolutely refused to meet with people that I have been supporting.
There is a radical and fundamental need for the reform of the episcopacy in order to change our Safeguarding culture.
The reform of the episcopacy is the first step towards becoming
more Christian
more Christlike
more with Christ the abused one.
Joanne Grenfell & Alexander K never listened when I called for
1. A NATIONAL CHARTER FOR CHORISTERS,
2. ADVERTISED DEDICATED HELPLINE
3. REGULATORY OVERSIGHT.
Choristers are vulnerable on a number of levels, from poor care to abuse.
Help me achieve a chorister helpline ASAP
Joanne Grenfell needs to take meaningful responsibility for her lack of leadership here by resigning immediately as Bishop of Saint Edmundsbury and Ipswich. @ChurchTimes

Joanne Grenfell as Lead Safeguarding Bishop was just the voice of the institutional cover up, in my experience. She needs to step aside.
I will remember her for her magical skills of doing a disappearing act whenever there was a national safegarding crisis. How did she do it?

Yes, but the CofE kicks against anything that looks like independence.... They cannot cope with it because it goes against the whole idea of keeping it in the family.

More job titles but this just means more people to be passed to as you go around the CofE safeguarding loop. Who will deal with my case now? This is what I urgently want to know.
In my experience the @churchofengland National Director saw the issues and did not act.
Perhaps my case could now be his first of intervening and launching a proper investigation so that justice for all can be served?
Reconciliation without truth is just rebranding. Justin’s retirement rebranding should disgust all people both within @churchofengland and beyond who are concerned about abuse in any of our public institutions and society at large.
Reconciliation is simply not a brand to be worn or an enterprise to be pursued in retirement by a former Archbishop forced to retire because he could not even face personally those abused by the church and consistently failed to meet with them.
Reconciliation is rather a cost to be paid in truth for those who who have been abused. Until those who were wounded are heard, honoured, and answered, any claim to ‘reconciliation’ is empty words spoken over unhealed ground.
Justin has no credentials to be a reconciler. He is just using a former ecclesial position for maximization of financial income in retirement. This is totally morally vacuous.

Reconciliation is not a title.
It cannot be claimed, rebranded, or declared into existence.
Justin Welby’s return raises urgent questions about credibility, trust, and accountability. Please read and share my new blog ⬇️
