The ethno-national character of the genocidal state; the worship of the army; a self-perception of an enlightened and technologically advanced society carrying out the genocide.

The dehumanizing rhetoric of the state towards the Untermenschen and the decades & decades of propaganda predisposing the society to dehumanize the Untermenschen.

The complicity of so many people, states and societies. The buy-in from the media & professional classes. The collaborationist regimes in surrounding countries. The mass murder of adjacent groups, be them Lebanese or Iranian, Roma or Gay, who are obstacles to the nation’s glory.
