I do not compare with others; I compare with where I could've been, what I could've done, and if I hadn't shrugged off behaviours and relationships that only ever existed under the condition of putting me last, I could've been so much more.

@erinmorgenstern I remember reading about you writing it over 2 NaNos, which at the time everyone around me would consider "cheating" on the whole "new project 50k rule". It's been an anchor to remember that, when I'd later on advocate whatever "cheating" gives the right story its best chance. 🎪

The loudest voices in “ND community” leave NO SPACE for the Unacceptably ND ppl like me. And there’s no way to speak up w/o being vilified more.

It’s so accepted, I see ppl do it/condone it while claiming inclusion, w/o even realising. And that hurts, too much at this point.
