30+, Married. I blog about being #childfree; dispelling myths, fighting stereotypes, changing narrative. I donβt hate kids, just donβt want my own! πͺπΊ #catmum
Hi all! I've been off twitter for a while - I did a digital detox whilst on holiday last year and enjoyed it so much I just kept going... Plus, I took a break from my blog whilst I completed my post-grad, which I'm pleased to say is finished! So, I'm back! New blog soon.
dreaming of the day women getting married well into their 30s & 40s is normalised, being childfree is totally cool & little girls grow up with more dreams in their eyes than marriage & parents stop envisioning a bride & mother as the only acceptable future for their daughters
Also - I had some lovely messages from blog readers whilst I was away which has really encouraged me to keep writing (thank you) and a whole load of new followers too; welcome and sorry for the radio silence! X

@callmecurby It's so true though! Kids are a lifestyle choice and a lot that comes with it just seems so dull - to me personally. Life's too short, spend it happy!

Just listened to @SarahMillican75 on the #rhlstp podcast talking about not wanting kids. V funny π
"I feel like it's the final taboo to talk about on stage... Some people think you're a monster cos you don't... It's a decision and it's OK to say 'meh. Not for me"
I get that this piece is controversial but - our old neighbours had 3 small children and they were LOUD. Through the walls and when out in the garden. There was no escape. Luckily they moved out. I'd choose childfree neighbours over parents every time.
